Jeanne K. Unangst, Legal Assistant

Jeanne Unangst works for King Law Offices as a legal assistant, and has more than 17 years experience. Before moving to North Carolina, she worked for two law offices in her home town in Pennsylvania.

Outside of the office, Jeanne is actively involved in her children’s activities and in her church, Harvest House Baptist Church. She is also actively involved in volunteer work at Foothills Harvest Outreach Ministries, Lydia’s Place and Forest City Youth Football League, Inc. She enjoys community activities, reading and physical fitness.

Jeanne currently resides in Forest City, NC with her family.

 

Charity B. Hardin, Legal Assistant

Charity's role at King Law Offices involves assisting clients in the areas of Civil Litigation, Estate Planning, Criminal and Traffic cases, and Family Law matters.

Charity is a 2000 graduate of East Rutherford High School and a 2005 graduate of Western Carolina University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in Parks and Recreation Management.

Throughout college she participated in various activities including Student Association of Government and Legal Affairs (SAGLA),Delegation Leader for her school’s North Carolina Student Legislature (NCSL), and she also served as a member of the Women’s Rugby Football Club where she was acting president in 2004-2005.

Outside of the office, Charity is involved with her church, Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where she is currently serving as the Youth Director. She and her husband, David, reside in Ellenboro, NC with their son, Dawson.

 

Amanda King, Business Director

After a ten-year career in Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Strategic Management Consulting, Amanda is now enjoying her role in the family business helping to manage the day-to-day operation. A native of Rutherford County and a former Rutherford County Commissioner (2002-2006), Amanda has served the community in a variety of roles since receiving her Bachelors Degree from Campbell University in 1998.

Her civic involvement has included positions with the Board of Directors for Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Leadership Rutherford, Foothills Connect, Rutherford County Library, and Smart Start of Rutherford and Polk Counties. Commitment to faith and family remain at the center of Amanda’s life – she is married to Attorney Brian King and they have two wonderful children. The family is active in church as well as community bible studies and outreach programs.

Amanda holds a Masters of Business Administration from Gardner Webb University, where she now serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Godbold School of Business.

 

Glenda Bucy, Financial Analyst

Glenda’s role at King Law Offices is primarily in the business office where she performs a wide range of accounting activities.

Glenda received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting from Western Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where she lived with her husband, Chris and her two children. While a student, Glenda achieved the honor of the Dean’s List and the President’s List for academics.

In 2000, after Glenda’s husband was discharged from the Marine Corps, they chose Rutherford County as their home. She currently resides in Forest City with her family and attends Cornerstone Fellowship. Although not currently in any leadership roles, Glenda has filled the role of Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and Music Director in her home church located in Columbus, NC.

Lindsey Deck, Legal Assistant

Lindsey received an Associate of Arts Degree from Isothermal Community College in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Wingate University in 2008. While at Isothermal Community College she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She currently resides in Forest City with her family and is a member of Second Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. She enjoys a variety of outdoor activities which include walking, golfing, and tennis.

Cindy Andrews, Offices Administrator

Cindy Andrews is the Offices Administrator of King Law Offices. She is located in the Rutherfordton office and is responsible for the daily administrative flow for the three offices.

Cindy was born in Richmond, VA but went to high school in Greenville, SC. She went to the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC and got an honorable mention for two pieces of art that she had done.

Cindy has 20 years of Operations Manager experience in the mortgage industry. She and her husband owned and operated one of the largest privately owned mortgage companies in Sarasota, FL, with three locations throughout Sarasota County. They sold their business to a New York firm and relocated here to Rutherford County. She then became Operations Manager of a mortgage company in Rutherfordton.

Cindy and her husband Jim have been married 32 years. They have one daughter who is in college in Raleigh. Jim is a member of the Rutherford County Radio Control Club and has been flying, teaching, and building radio control airplanes for about 30 years. Cindy enjoys cooking, growing flowers and vegetables in her garden, and reading the bible. She is also looking forward to getting involved in community activities now that her daughter is in college.
